A firewall does pick up where the user permits the border router to let in the information. Perimeter control is like a defensive wall for the network, which helps secure from a cyberattack. Within the firewalls, the following help ensure the network boundary is secured by working together. These are IPS (Intrusion prevention system), IDS (Intrusion detection system), and the VPN (Virtual private network), which helps the perimeter recognize specific threats. Internal controls help to lower or stop the risk and reduce the chances of any unwanted coming risk.
