IT104_Unit_2_Lab.docx IT 104 Lab 2 (Unit 2) Wireshark program Here's a little quick summary of what the lab work is a continuation of on- hand experience with the Wireshark program and how we look for information needed with the frames. As a fresh reminder for anybody who doesn't know what Wireshark is, it's a network analyzer program that enables you to see what's going on in the network at a microscopic level and is standard across the use. Below will be screenshots of various steps and parts throughout the 2nd Lab to show what information we're looking at and were working with. In the first part of this Lab, we' 'll see the following screenshots that show locating the source port from the User Datagram Protocol from frame 18 of the program, which we found to be the Source port: 65388 shown in the shot below. After that, we move on to expand and search for the Domain name system's queries line to identify the domain queried in the same frame of the program, under Queries (perdu.com: type A, Class IN). In the following screenshot, we show the response to Frame 18 on a separate frame, as you can see in the frame summary, which is now 21. In frame 21, we find the answer, which is perdu.com: type A, class IN, and 208.97.177.124, which is the MAC address for it. As we go through the frame above it (Frame 20), we find what the Authoritative nameservers which give more answer upon the serve were looking at.
