Discuss the need for change for the company in the scenario using either the systems    Change Management Task 1  Change Management Consultation  A.  Discuss the need for change for the company in the scenario using either the systems contingency model or the organizational life cycle model.  A change management consultants purpose is to help to provide necessary tools that individuals and organizations require to implement change in a way that is the least disruptive, most efficient, and most effective manner.  After careful review of the organizations operations, strengths and weaknesses of Smith Manufacturing, a plan has been outlined in this report to move the company forward with implementing and sustaining change so that the company can become one of the foremost innovators in the industry.   Several situations have determined that there is a direct need for change within Smith Manufacturing.  First and foremost, due to the rapid growth of the company from a $1 million-dollar organization to a $100 million-dollar international conglomerate, employing more than 500 employees, the company has not adequately transitioned its systems and policies to accommodate the larger operation, instead functioning as though it were a much smaller business.  The need to update the companys processes and software systems is not only to be efficient and accurate in maintaining its inventory, but to also remain competitive partner in the industry.  Secondly, the leadership style used by the company (top-down management approach) does nothing to encourage employees to shar
