For instance, a trend survey investigates changes in the application of law or people's views on a given policy over time. The cohort end panel surveys utilize the same group of individuals in the research, albeit definitely. The former method identifies a single group of interest that takes the survey annually as long as they meet a specific criterion for the samples set. The latter also utilizes one sample set over a long period but does not consider their qualifications to be in the sample set. The three survey methods embody the longitudinal model of data collection, where research is carried out over an extended period. It contrasts the cross-sectional approach, which considers information gathered at a singular point. The researcher gets a glimpse of the condition of the subject matter, citing the presence of time dynamics. However, the cross-sectional survey model demonstrates better time management in the production of event information about a subject than the longitudinal survey methods.
