Large pharma companies such as Pfizer and Moderna conducted clinical studies to ensure the vaccine they produced was able to defend patients against the deadly COVID-19 disease. Between Pfizer and Moderna studies were conducted throughout the world to ensure the safety and statement of collaboration. Collaboration Moderna, company that developed one of the first COVID-19 vaccine collaborated with different industries to create the vaccine. While in the clinical trial phases Moderna teamed up with the Emory University in Atlanta to enroll healthy adults that wanted to help with the development stages. While moving through the clinical trials another major collaboration occurred when, Biomedical Advance Research and Development (BARDA) a branch of the Government that helps in the development of medical countermeasures ("Biomedical Advanced Research And Development Authority", 2021). While Moderna was conducting trails BARDA provided funds to Moderna for the acceleration of development and production of the COVID-19 vaccine. Moving forward with the next collaboration that occurred with Moderna is when Lonza, chemical company based in Switzerland joined forces to manufacture one billion doses of the vaccine per year("Broad Capabilities, Established Expertise", 202
