C714 Task 3.docx    C714 Task 3  Western Governors University  Currently, EZ-Pleeze food company is 5th largest corn and potato products in the United States. They have reached this status with their excellent marketing and advertising. Also, they have invested in their technology, and in their employees. However, they are in the need of a new strategic plan due to the CEO, Tim Burnes retiring.   I have reviewed the current mission and vision statements for the company. The current mission statement is appropriate for their company. They clearly identify their product and that they have a designated department of research and development to make sure it is satisfying the buyers needs. They also express their priority of quality customer service and their investment of wellbeing in their employees. In addition, emphasize their pride in innovation and profitability to their shareholders. The current vision statement is a forward-looking, however, it is extremely generic and could easily be used to describe any of their competitors. Their vision statement is not specific and while it gives us the “where we are going”, it doesnt tell us why. I do not think that their vision statement is appropriate and will need a revision.  I have conducted a thorough SWOT analysis for EZ-Pleeze.
