There are a few key elements that will make sure that an administrator can get work done in a timely manner and ensure the best work possible. The ability to multitask is just as important as the ability to make deadlines. Multitasking might be one of the more essential practices, and skills, to have as a network administrator. Administrators usually must do several things at once such as handle communications, work on numerous projects, and check all final work for completion. Its a good idea in this case to keep a running queue of all the work going in and out so no task gets lost; this way as tasks are finished, they can be crossed out of the que while new tasks can be added. It is important to keep this que organized so the administrator does not mistakenly attempt to complete a task that has already been done (Brothers, 2018). Along with multitasking, an administrator must be able to meet deadlines. In most cases, a network administrator would be working with another administrator, user or customer and may have a set list of tasks that must be completed on time.
