Persias geological location between Asia, Africa, and Greece allowed for the trade of many natural resources along what was called the Silk Roads. (Acrobatiq, 2017) (B)The two unique cultural characteristics for each of the empires are: Rome had a unique way of viewing slavery. (1) The slaves could be educated and even hold positions of importance within the society. They could manage the masters businesses as well as tutors within the home. (2) Citizens rights were very generous, especially in comparison to their counterparts. Although there was a great distinction between citizens and non-citizens. Males only had the right to be citizens. The “Latin rights†was also implemented shortly after the invasion of Italy. That gave thoughts the ability to marry a Roman and to enter into legal contracts. (Acrobatiq, 2017) Persia had a complex order of classes. (1) The hierarchy went: royal family, landowners and high-ranking military, the priest and magi, middle-class and the largest population being the free peasants, followed by the slaves. (2) The view of a womens roll was very different to thoughts in Rome. The King mother was the highest-ranking women followed closely by the Kings wife.
