I informed him of my task at hand and presented the assignment situation and rubric requirements one at a time. He graciously provided a plethora of information, insight and ethos. As we progress through this analysis, one thing becomes abundantly clear. Amazon assumes a unique approach to its Business Models in ALL areas, including Digital Marketing. When we were done with the phone call, I was left with the clear understanding that Amazon takes an almost, œbackwards planning™ approach to its processes. As opposed to the more traditional goals of increasing profit margin or expanding sales capacity, they place laser- like focus upon meeting and anticipating customer needs (oftentimes, even before the customers realizes the want, need or desire) then identifying how to effectively and efficiently meet those needs.
