Because most people think of muscle-packed bodybuilders when speaking of muscle mass, its importance in everyday life and health is often overlooked. Muscle mass and muscle strength play a big role for most non-bodybuilders as well: From performing physical jobs, to mowing the lawn, playing with the kids, or even rearranging the furniture, the capacity to perform any of these activities and many others are directly linked to muscle strength.
