Privacy and intellectual property laws are essential to protect peoples creativity, and peoples own protection. With the digital age now, cyber laws have been impacted heavily compared to when laws were originally created. Laws from 1700, Effective or Ineffective The internet has evolved beyond imagination since it was first invented, as it now has become a major role in every aspect of day-to-day life. When humanity first came into realizing they must protect people, laws were put into places, but when these laws were first established, nobody would know how important they would have become. An example would be the All-Writs Act of 1789, which allows the federal judges to issue order to have people comply within the law. A case that would see this act take action, was Apple v. US in 2016, where the courts had ordered Apple to unlock tow phones used by the shooters in San Bernardino, California. The FBI were trying to get into the phone, but Apple went against the order, on the basis that “the phone lies in the burden of man-hours required to open not just this phone, but other phones as requested by law enforcement.â€. (Espino, 2017) With how the internet is always evolving, laws like the All-Writs Act cannot provide such
