An abortion is a procedure that can be done either medically or surgically to end a pregnancy before it comes to full term. In 1973, the Roe v. Wade case made abortion legal and provided women with the right and liberty to choose without restriction. Planned Parenthood is a non-profit organization that specializes in women and mens healthcare when it comes to the reproductive system, and they have a clinic where a woman can receive treatment, care, and counsel surrounding abortions. This is a social issue because some states still make it difficult to get abortion. Some states require a waiting period and even counseling.   Those opposed to abortion generally refer to themselves as pro-life, while those who support access to safe, legal abortions typically identify as pro-choice. (Abortion, 2020). I am agree with being pro-choice, giving women the right to choose what they want to do with their bodies. Women who decide to end their pregnancy could be doing so based on multiple reasons. Some women have been sexually violated, and as a result, ended up being pregnant.
