magine you are a paralegal working at the firm Parker Coulter, and Meehan and Boyle approach you and ask you to join their new firm for a considerable raise. You think that Meehan and Boyle's firm is likely to be very successful, and it would be a good career move for you. For this, assume the facts of the case as presented in Meehan v. Shaughnessy, 535 N.E.2d 1255 (Mass. 1989). What do you do? Do you accept? Do you disclose to your current employer, Parker Coulter? If so, when? If Meehan and Boyle came to me and asked if I would like to join their law firm, in which they started outside of the current law firm, then I would accept. I would not lie to my current employer, but let him or her know that I am leaving the firm, and giving the appropriate amount of weeks notice before leaving. Under the Meehan v.
