• The radial force is varied keeping the mass and the radius constant.
• The mass is varied keeping the radial force and the radius constant.
• The radius is varied keeping the mass and the radial force constant.
In each of the above cases, the rotational period is measured and the angular velocity is calculated from this period.
The values of the measured radial force and the calculated radial force are compared. The radial force is produced by a spring stretched a known amount and measured by hanging masses from the spring until the amount of stretched is reproduced.
