This can consist of overdramatizing things, being overly emotional, or erratic. Someone with a personality disorder typically behaves in a manner that deviates from the societal norms (American Psychiatric Association, 2018). There are ten distinct types of personality disorders. Of those 10, 4 of them are considered cluster B. Cluster B personality disorders are antisocial, narcissistic, borderline, and histrionic. Cluster B personalities are often characterized by the individual being overly dramatic, emotional, and unpredictable. While personality disorders carry some of the same features, they differ in many ways. Regardless of the type of personality disorder, typically, when someone is suffering a personality disorder, they also develop other mental health issues, such as anxiety, mood, or substance abuse disorders.
