Mental illness was more prevalent among women (21.2%) than men (14.3%) and occurred among more than a fifth of adults ages 18 to 25, as well over a fifth of adults ages 26 to 49. One in five Americans report they or a family member did not receive needed mental health services (Kamal, 2019). How the potential opportunities benefit the organization is by there being such a large gap in mental healthcare, that even if a massive amount of money is invested into care, it is more than likely going to be seen in the return of profit long term. Potential risks such as having too many physicians at one time pose a threat to the financial security of the organization by using up too much funding too soon. The potential economic opportunities compare to the potential economic risks is another thing to look at.
