Need for Policy and Practice Guidelines Chest pain is a treatable condition if caught and intervention is performed immediately. When patients who have chest pain receive EKGs within 10 minutes, aspirin within 30 minutes and transfer to a higher level of care within 90 minutes outcomes for patients improve greatly (Ryals, 2020).
