In 2016, the cost of a new hire was around $30,000, and ongoing employee training was about $1,500, which with inflation, puts the price of a new hire to roughly $32,263.43 and ongoing training at $1,613.17 (Maclaren, 2016). This cost analysis demonstrates the return on investment by retaining staff and putting forth the cost-effective effort of continuing employee training.
