teacher interview paper.docx (1)    Classroom Observation and Teacher Interview  SPE/300  I chose to do my teacher interview in Mrs. Kelli Miller™s third grade class. This is located at a rural elementary school.  This is a K-8 elementary school and the name of the school is Brushy Elementary school. Mrs. Miller has 23 students in her class, 13 boys and 10 girls. She has 4 with IEP™s, 5 gifted and talented and she didn™t have any studentsthat were culturally or linguistically diverse. She also has a para-professional, Ms. Carla, in her class to help her students that have an IEP.   One of Mrs. Miller™s students is wheelchair boundand uses a computer to do some of her work on it.She also receives help from Ms. Carla when she is doing some of her regular class work. Ms. Carla takes the students that have an IEP down to the resource room to the Special Education teacher to monitor their progress on their classroom work. Ms. Carla also takes these students to a part of the classroom so that they can work on their assignments together. She reads questions for them when they are taking their test and will help them sound out a word if they need help with it.   Mrs. Miller has 5 gifted and talented students in her class and when they finish their assignments they are then allowed to work on the computer on some educational websites. Some of these websites challenge them in a fun way. For math they have a math game that teaches them multiplication and division. They are given a set of numbers and they are timed to
