This chemical plant that produces pesticides for government and non-government organizations is leaking methyl isocyanate gas in the plant. The leak occurred when water penetrated a large vault of MIC and caused increased pressure in the vault. This increased pressure resulted in the vault tank venting, thereby releasing toxic gases into the plant and the atmosphere.
