psychresearchpaper.docx  Running Head: SCHIZOPHRENIA: AN OUTLOOK                                                          1  Schizophrenia: An Outlook of the Symptoms, Causes, and Treatments  Lake Michigan College  SCHIZOPHRENIA: AN OUTLOOK                                                                                   2  Abstract  The purpose of this paper is to discuss the hardships that the people diagnosed with schizophrenia have to deal with every day.  From difficulties dealing with some of the physically and emotionally debilitating symptoms, to trying treatments, some of which do not work and can have adverse reactions.  The road of trying to find a happy medium while living with schizophrenia is a hard one, but it is not impossible.  This paper also discusses the genes from which the disease is born, as well as other disorders that are similar in origin.    SCHIZOPHRENIA: AN OUTLOOK                                                                                   3  Schizophrenia: An Outlook on the Symptoms, Causes, and Treatments  Schizophrenia is an extremely life altering mental disease.  Millions of Americans, and people of other countries are diagnosed with, or have been living with the disease for many years.  It is debilitating, but with the proper support, and treatment, the disease can be managed and those diagnosed can even go back to living a normal, independent life.  The purpose of this research paper is to shed light on the mental disorder, that is schizophrenia, as well as t
