C493 Leadership and Professional Image Task 1    C493 Leadership and Professional Image Task 1  A1.  An identified issue related to the practice of patient providers that align with my organizations priorities I wish to solve is proper ordering of Low Dose CT (LDCT) Lung cancer screening exams by providers for patients who meet qualifications. The priority of my organization is to bring compassion to healthcare and to be good help to those in need, especially those who are poor and dying. Being good help to those in need also entails assisting those who are at high risk for certain cancer or disease are closely monitored by evidence- based practice guidelines implemented by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN, 2014), the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC,2018), and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS, 2015).   A1a. The issue at my organization is the lack of LDCT lung cancer screening exams ordered by patient providers for those who meet criteria and qualify for the lung cancer screening. This issue applies to provider practice.  It applies to the practice of the provider because the criteria set forth by CMS are a specific patient population that includes patient age, patient smoking history, and patient current health symptoms. The issue applies to provider practice because patient providers are not fully aware of the availability of the exam, patient criteria, and exam ordering per criteria.
