Some of these may be the pollution emitted from vehicles and industry, others may be from the food we consume, more still could be in the public drinking water. So many factors are constantly barraging our bodies and most times people dont know until its too late. With the risk of exposure to many toxins, there are four routes by which exposure can be introduced into the body. First, is the skin, which includes the eyes and the Epidermis of humans and is considered to be one of the largest introductions of contaminants due to its extensive use in everything humans do, this allows materials such as heavy, soft metals like lead able to seep into the skin and be absorbed into the blood by cell diffusion, or movement of heavy concentrations into low concentration areas. Second, is inhalation, which is extremely common for substances that are common in the air such as Nitrogen Oxides, Sulfur Dioxide, and other particulate matter like mold, dust, and bacteria.
