CPMGT300  Wk1  Paper.docx    CPMGT/300  Week 1 - Individual Overview of a Project  CPMGT/300 Project Management   University of Phoenix  My Experience with Project Management  I currently work for a healthcare provider as a Business Analyst, where I oversee the maintenance of the formulary and benefits management system. I work in a support capacity, where I specifically deal with œenhancements, that need to be made to the system. Enhancements come in the form of projects and usually involves the creation of project charters, requirements gathering, assigning tasks, leading meetings, tracking progress and working in cross-functional teams.  My First Major Project  In June of 2020, our department received notice from the Finance department that there was a potential opportunity to save the company millions of dollars (~$13 million per year, to be exact) by using pharmacy codes that are already evaluated, assigned, and in use by our third- party vendors. The Director of our department (whom I report to), sets up an emergency meeting with only the Support staff to explain the situation and have a discussion about the feasibility of this enhancement, roles and responsibilities, expected implementation of November 1st and any potential risks. Being just over six months new to the team, I was asked if I would be up to the task of handling such a large project. I confidently agreed to take on this challenge and reassured both my manager and my mentor that I would keep them in the loop with ongoing progress a
