Weekly_Journal_Entry_6.docx(1)  NRS-493  Professional Capstone and Practicum Reflective Journal  Grand Canyon University   NRS-493-0501  Week 6 Journal Entry: Ensuring the integrity of human dignity in   the care of all patients  This week my preceptor and I discussed the importance of ensuring the integrity of  human dignity in the care of all patients. We discussed how each patient is a human being and are made in the image of God and that each person deserves the utmost dignity and respect that we can offer. Every human being is created in the image of God and we must respect them no matter what circumstances they may be. As nurse we are not to judge other by to push aside our judgement and care for others. It is important that we respect every individual no matter their race, gender, social status, or diagnosis and everyone should be treated the same. We were created equal in Gods image by God himself and we should show respect for others as just that.   No matter what each person™s situation is as nurses, showing a patient you care for them by ensuring them their integrity and dignity and stand up for that will change that person™s vision on you as a person and as a nurse as well. Many elderly individuals lose their integrity and dignity when they lose the ability to do for them self™s. We are care givers should give that back to them as much as we can. Nurse have control of many things that are simple to do but huge to the patient.
