This paper will look at qualitative, Quantitative and mix method. It will discuss the rreliability and validity issues with each method and examine its use in three 2selected articles.   There are different types of design and methodology that research can assume, however this varies based on the field of study. Therefore, when research designs and methodology is being examined, it is important to consider the area of study. It is also important to note that regardless of the field of study, there are fundamental principles that are integrated across all fields and as such the basic principles will serve as a standard for determining the research design.  Research methodology provides the framework, direction and structure for the researchand how it should be conducted.
