None of the founding fathers nor the citizens of America knew how to run a country, they just knew how they didnt like it ran. The early presidents were in awkward position of they were the first to do it, so they had no blueprints of how to do their job. America was at a vulnerable point in its life where it needed well liked people in office so that people could buy into the concept of the new republic.
