In week three I chose the topic of educational funding as social problem. Helping a student pay for their education through student loans can be good, but also damaging. Student loans are the cause of serious debit put on Americans daily. Per Akers (2016), “Student loans are beneficial debt, that is giving people the chance to finance in themselves as a personal investment. Multiple loan debt for students happen for many explanations and causes. Lack of information and guidance to students just coming out of high school from our state government on what it takes to pay for a college education. The high cost of tuition fees is claimed to be fair, the price paid was ensuring that it would be reasonable for a taxpayer and more students can attend higher education.   There are no options being used by students heavily to increase smarter choices while attending college. For instance, maybe attending workshops or building strong support systems. Along with parents or other family members cosigning for their childrens chance to attend college (Nissen 2019).  College attending and graduating is the dream for most American families.
