The period between 1815 and 1839 can be labeled as a period of conservative success for various European countries such as France and Great Britain among others. It is, however, notable that the region also experienced vast alarms and excursions, but also witnessed an extended period of peace with other powers across the world. The complete triumph of political reactions in Europe after the Congress of Vienna can be evaluated from the perspective of Britain (Haldén, 2011). The period between 1815 and 1839 was characterized by the intensification of the Industrial Revolution in Great Britain; which had numerous political implications for the country. The political success of the country during the period was characterized by the successful uprisings waged by the Bourgeoisie class in their efforts to challenge the ancient monarchies in the country. It is paramount to note that the Bourgeoisie was the hallmark of ascension during the period as witnessed by the numerous efforts geared towards change. The class struggle was precipitated by various events such as the Peterloo Massacre of 1819 which was attributed to increasing the worker consciousness and class struggles.
Despite the fact that Great Britain did not witness bloody outbreaks of violence like other countries such as France, it could not run away from change as the fight against aristocracy saw the enactment of the reform Bill in 1932; which led to an increase in the parliamentary representation of the manufacturers in the parliament (Evans, 2010). It is also notable that the triumph of the political reaction in Great Britain over the period was not as a result of nationalist revolution but liberal endeavors that sought to achieve significant reforms.
