Individuals may experience loss for various reasons, not necessarily for the death of a loved one, such as ending a relationship, miscarriage, loss of employment, retirement, and more. At  any particular developmental stage, one may experience grief, and stages may vary from individual to individual, as some may initially cry or others may feel anger or denial. Therefore, I chose the Kubler-Ross model of grief, which is broken into five stages to help understand how individuals experience grief and what emotions may be encountered at each stage (Zastrow,  Kirst-Ashman & Hessenauer, 2019).  The Kubler-Ross Model and Social Worker Application  The Kubler-Ross mode
