COUN5004 Unit 1 Discussion.docx  COUN-5004  —   What issues do you imagine will be most challenging for you as a counselor-in-training?  Why?  As someone who is very in tune with my own emotions, and finds it very easy to relate to others who are struggling, I imagine that separating my own experiences from the experiences of others may pose a challenge to me.  Some of the issues facing people in counseling are very personal, involve trauma, and may be difficult to face or discuss.  Keeping my composure and remaining a stable and practical voice free from emotional distress when hearing others recount or discuss their issues is something I will need to continually work on.  Many of the challenges facing counselors in general today remind me that constant updating of practices and knowledge of research in my field will be necessary, and that understanding how humans are constantly evolving and their needs are changing o
