Fallacies are usually common errors in reasoning that undermine the logic of an argument. Fallacies may be either illegitimate arguments or irrelevant points. They are identified because they lack evidence that can supports their claim. Matching fallacies to their definition • Hasty generalization is a conclusion which is based on insufficient or biased evidence. It means that one is rushing to a conclusion before having all relevant facts. • A forced hypothesis is when one come to a conclusion which is "forced," because the hypothesis has no enough evidence to be considered true. • Post hoc is a logical fallacy where one event is said to be the cause of a later event the reason because it occurred earlier. • Overstatement is when language is used to exaggerate intended meaning.
