USA PATRIOT ACT

The Patriot Act is legislation which was passed in 2001 to improve the abilities of U.S. law enforcement in order to detect and deter terrorism. The official title of the act is, Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism. United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court is a U.S. federal court which was established and authorized under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 in order to oversee requests for surveillance warrants against foreign spies who are inside the United States by federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
