ABSTRACT Credit Rating Agencies act as information intermediaries between lenders and corporate and individual borrowers in a financial market. The information by Credit Rating Agencies has a signifi cant influence on fundamental economic variables such as interest rates, financing opportunities, and default probability. The primary aim of this paper is to analyze credit rating agencies and their impact on the financial markets in the United Kingdom. The study will adopt online surveys and Stakeholder interviews as the primary source of data while literature review will form the secondary source of data.
