Managing people is a fundamental aspect of any business. Motivating and providing job satisfaction are components to assist in business growth, generation of revenue, and the decrease of employee turnover. Many studies have been conducted to gain a better understanding of motivation like the reinforcement, need based, and process theories. Job satisfaction is the variable directly related to assisting employee motivation. 
There is a connection between motivation and job satisfaction, making them a primary responsibility to the company’s survival.  Even though motivation and job satisfaction are related terms they are not synonyms. Employers have succeeded and failed at providing their employees both theories.
