The book of Ephesians paper

You are a student in a counseling program, and your faculty is well aware that you are not a theologian. However, your position as a counselor will put you in a place of relative power and respect. Your clients will listen to your thoughts on God and doctrine. They will listen to your thoughts on how doctrine applies to their lives, their families, their struggles, and the solution to all of their problems. In light of this, you have to obtain an accurate understanding of what the Bible says. Because this class cannot and will not convey everything you need to know about the Bible, you need to learn a sound process of Bible study to further knowledge.
The following four-part writing assignment (in weeks 2, 3, 5, and 6) will guide you through a simple version of inductive Bible study. The general outline and the specifics of what to include in each section of this four-part structure was taken from www.bible.org and is a commonly accepted structure for Inductive Bible study.
Please understand that while your opinion on Scripture is important, it should not be included in these papers. You need to be able to read, understand, and apply the positions of the men and women who have studied the Scriptures for countless hours after intensive training in the original language with deep understanding of relevant history and culture. Your job is not to project your perception of reality or emotional state onto the Scriptures; instead, your job is to find out what the Scripture says in proper context and apply those truths to life.
Pick one of the following passages to use for all four sections of this paper. Do not switch passages for different sections, if you do, your Inductive Bible Study will be incomplete and your grade will suffer.

Setting the Context
Write a two-page (title page and reference section not included in this count) paper in standard APA formatting. Your paper should be written in paragraph form and include an in-depth explanation of the following:
Author—Find out who wrote the passage and provide a one- to three-paragraph biography.
Background—Where did the author live, and what was happening politically and socially at the time? Use your Moody Bible Commentary and others found on the library’s website to find this information.
Context—How does the passage fit within the context of the chapter, book, testament, and whole Bible when considering the metanarrative?
