This story reports that the Honolulu Police Department or HPD, has spent $150,000 in CARES Act funds on a robotic dog. Many are upset with how the police department has chosen to spend this money as a robotic dog seems to have no use to citizens on the island. I believe this to be an ethical issue as the action of the HPD has caused conflict with the publics morals. Many are angered at the way the police department spent the money, believing that it was frivolous and wont help with the homelessness or drug problems we see here on the island.
