Had you asked me four years ago if I would be where I am today, I probably would have said no. When I was younger, I always hoped and dreamed of having my own little family. A mom, a dad, and a baby all under the same roof. Unfortunately, sometimes the dreams you have previously dreamt about, they just dont happen. Have you ever heard the quote: “with struggle comes strength”? I find this quote to be extremely true. Two years ago, I walked through the doors of the family court system, and Ive been fighting almost every day since then. Sometimes, I feel as if my voice will never be heard or my thoughts will never be validated- but with this long drawn out battle, I have learned lessons about life that I have never known before. Fighting in court made me feel powerless and beaten down. I am still fighting, because obviously I wont give up until my truth is heard, which leads me to what this battle has taught me about life…   I have learned five extremely important lessons throughout my battle, that I will now carry every day with me. I believe that these lessons will benefit other moms who have or are fighting this uphill battle. I hope this helps you find some peace as well.   1.You DO have a voice. Sometimes, you feel as if youve fought your fight, but you just werent heard. Although it seems as if thats true, its not. Everything you sa
