Medication errors include giving a patient medicine at the wrong time, giving an illegal drug, prescribing medicine that is not appropriate for the condition at hand, giving the wrong dosage of the prescribed drug, among others. Some errors may arise during administration such as giving drugs to the wrong patient, administering the medicine via the wrong route, for instance by giving a patient a medicine solution to drink yet it was intended to be injected
