EDU 390 Week 1, Learning Team, Section Summary  Learning Team Assignment: Learning Team Toolkit Summary  EDU/390 – Elementary Education Seminar  Getting Started  The "Getting started" portion of the learning team toolkit refers to the effectiveness of a learning team. There are many important components involved in making a learning team successful, however a process is absolutely necessary to complete goals. One of the main components involved in the process is making a team charter. A team charter describes the purpose (or goals), lists out rules & regulations, resources to utilize, & consequences. All team member must be part of the charter in order for it to be effective. Charters work great for teams because everyone involved knows & understand what is expected of them & what to do if there is a disagreement. Some may say a team charter is nonsense or not necessary, however an effective team will use a team charter to their advantage, it is all about team management & organization.  Getting Results   The "Getting to Results" portion of the learning team toolkit discusses how useful a learning team can be. One of the reasons we do work as a team is to get insightful information & ideas from others. Also we can accomplish a lot more than if all the work is set on one person. Often times when working with others we feel like we are losing time. Discussing & trying to work together can be challenging especially since our teams are groups of people from different time zones. We do not have the luxury of getting together
