Over the last century or two, communication has evolved in ways never believed to be possible, transferring from handwritten letters delivered by horse, to practically instant phone calls to the opposite side of the earth. This evolution of technology and how our society communicates with each other every day has transformed the world entirely. Daily communication now relies on phone calls, texts, email, video chats, social media, and more, to the point where we are starting to wonder why we should ever have to leave the comfort of our homes. Along with the changes in technology and communication, have come tremendous changes in our own cultures, this especially true for the American culture. But what exactly has this evolution of communication done to the American culture? How has it impacted us so much that we see œnormal much differently than our ancestors did, and how will the continued progress in technological advancement affect generations to come?
