Weathering and erosion are very closely related topics. Describe how these two processes can shape the landscape and be sure to provide examples. You may choose to discuss an individual form of weathering and erosion or concentrate on a given area such as deserts, glaciated areas, or river systems and the forms of weathering and erosion that occur there.
Your paper should meet the following requirements:

The existence of different landforms in the world is attributed to a wide variety of geographical processes that trigger different effects on the land, resulting in the variations. Among the different processes that result in different landforms are weathering and erosion, both of which occur in different lands, resulting in different landforms. Therefore, weathering is defined as any chemical or physical type of reaction whose occurrence is centered a the interface between the surface of a rock and the atmosphere, leading to the disintegration or decomposition of the rock (Renton & Repine, 2017). As a result, the rocks are fragmented. Erosion, on the other hand, is the process through which different agents such as wind and water transport weathered materials from one location to another, where they result in different landforms upon the increased accumulation of the sediments.
In the case of landforms along river systems, it is important to highlight the fact that the formations arise out of the integration of both weathering and erosion. The former is responsible for the disintegration of rocky elements while the latter is responsible for the transportation and deposition of sediments (Lebedeva & Brantley, 2017). As such, the first type of weathering along river systems is referred to as mechanical or physical weathering. The process entails the gradual disintegration of rocks into smaller pieces. When discussing physical weathering, it is essential to highlight the fact that sedimentary rocks, such as those found in West Virginia, are characterized by pore spaces within their structures. Moreover, the pores in the rocks are at times filled with gases, water, or oil (Renton & Repine, 2017). As a result of the possible and nonuniform co...
