S: 52 year old male who has severe abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting over the last few days.
B: His abdomen is distended. He has poor skin turgor and dry mucous membranes. He has not urinated since yesterday. He has felt dizzy and weak all evening.
A: Labs show CBC and he has elevated HB, HCT, WBC, NA+, CL, Urea nitrogen, & creatinine. Per Dr. orders an IV was started and administered NS fluid bolus 500 mL over 30 min, O2 to maintain SPO2 greater than 92%, a Nasogastric tube on intermittent suction, Buprenorphine, and Ondansetron PRN.
