4G Wireless Networks
1. Compare and contrast 3G wireless networks to 4G networks in terms of service and applications, network architecture, data throughput, and user perceptions.
The term 3G is short for third generation and is the third generation of wireless telecommunications technology. 3G wireless networks provide users a high-speed access to data and voice services. The typical data rate offered through 3G networks is at least 144 kilobits per second (Kbps) but 3G networks can provide users with as much as 3.1 megabits per second (Mbps). Variances in these speeds can be affected by signal strength, location, and network traffic.
