Milestone_4.doc    Milestone 4: Workplace Analysis  Business Department, Southern New Hampshire University  OL-500-X5082 Human Behavior in Organization   Workplace Analysis  I currently work for a large Medicaid health insurance company or as some may call it a managed care health insurance company. The company I work for has several different offices in other states with our corporate office being in Pennsylvania. Within those many different offices in many states we refer to them as plans since Medicaid is governed by each state; then  each state in turn make up their own rules and guidelines that mange each managed care health insurance company that is contracted through and has to follow for that particular state. So, although we may all fall under the same corporate company not all policies and procedures are the same for each office in the different states in which we operate.    Currently in my office we have a plan president, who answers to the corporate office and he develops policies and procedures specifically for our state in which we operate, Louisiana. Then we have several different departments which answer to the plan president. For my department there is three subgroups outpatient, inpatient, and utilization techs, which is part of the behavioral health utilization review team with a direct supervisor. So, in our specific group we have outpatient team, that handles behavioral health cases that would be considered non urgent services, such as behavioral outpatient counseling,
