MAPA 5300: Article #2 Review

Each student is expected to analyze two articles relating to ethics from peer reviewed journals published later than 1 Jan 2005. These reviews may be made available to other members of the class. Journals should be peer reviewed, and relevant to PA. However, as you are learning from this course, PA is a wide open discipline including leadership, management, organizational behavior, human resources, budgeting, and numerous other areas of study. Journal examples might include Public Administration Review (PAR), International Journal of Public Administration (IJPA) or Public Administration. Students are also welcome to choose journal articles relevant to their profession or future are of specialization. For example, a Criminal Justice major could chose to review an article in American Journal of Criminal Justice or Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency. The first half of the review should be a discussion of the author’s thesis, methodology, and conclusions. The second half of your assignment should support or disagree with the author, citing your reasons and any examples you might have. Papers should be 1-2 pages, double spaced, 10 or 12 point font, with 1 to 1.5 inch margins. Papers should cite the journal article in bolded text using single spaced APA format at the top of the first page. Do not include a cover sheet, abstract, running head, etc.
