Comprehensive Health Assessment A1 Strategy  According to Healthy People    Comprehensive Health Assessment A1 Strategy  According to Healthy People 2020” social determinants of health (SDOH) are conditions in the environments in which one are born, live, learn, work, play, worship, and age that affect a wide range of health, functioning, and quality-of-life outcomes and risks. These circumstances are formed by the supply of money, power and capital at a national and local level (World Health Organization [WHO], 2018).  During the comprehensive assessment performed on my patient Mrs. Allen, verbal responses, body language and overall appearance were assessed for the purpose of exploring her SDOH. The importance of determining the availability to health care, assess ones ability to pay and manage health care are in efforts of increasing overall health outcomes. Mrs. Allens appearance was evaluated overall on how clean she looked, condition of her clothing, nutritional appearance, and how fluently she use English. During a face-to-face encounter the patient was addressed in a non-threatening, active listening, open-end question approach, allowing the patient to freely express herself and to establish a patient-evaluator rapport. Active listening and empathy are some of the key techniques of a skilled interview (Binkley, 2013). The patient answers were assessed for social determination of whether the patient can afford, have adequate transportation to health care when needed and the level of health literacy, appeared to be well maintained.     The s
