CEO Tim Barnes started the company in the early 2000s after spending 25 years as a produce farmer. Tim Barnes raised his company with small town values that resonated with him to make the company what it is today. EZ-Pleeze provides its employees with many benefits in the form of tuition reimbursement, health and wellness tools, opportunities for growth, and also rewards employees for being involved with the community.  1.Discuss the appropriateness of the current mission statement for EZ-Pleeze.  The mission statement for EX-Pleeze is appropriate because it explains what the product of the company is, why the company exists, who the company is as business, and what they do as a company. EZ-Pleezes product is identified as corn and potatoes. It is also mentioned that they lead the industry in research and development in the United States of genetically modified foods and nutrition for produce production. The mission statement does fail to mention that markets outside of the U.S are a goal for the company, and this should be part of the mission statement.
