MET_Case_Study__1_.docx SPD-320 Multidisciplinary Education Team Case Study According to Michigan Alliance for Families the Mulidisipilary team is defined as at least two persons responsible for the evaluation process of a student and can include a special education teacher and another specialist (MET, n.d). Very similar to a Child Study Team however after the evaluation process is over the MET holds a meeting to discuss and analyze data to determine eligibility for services. They will then make recommendations and pass on their findings and contributions to the student™s IEP team. The IEP Team is then made up of more members such as parents or child if old enough, general education teacher, special education teacher, administration, school social worker, school psychologist, and possibly other specific specialists depending on the services the child is receiving or is eligible for (The Importance of a Multidisciplinary IEP Team, 2020) In the case of Jonathon, a 7 year old boy in second grade who seems to be physically behind the rest of his peers and seems to dislike fine motor activities. He tends to have loud outburst and disruptive behavior during non preferred activities. The areas of concern are obviously the disruptive behaviours in class as well as his ability to read and comprehend text.
