team_week_1_.docx  CJA/385  How do policy Monitoring compare to policy evaluation?  Moving in the direction requires proper planning and requires answers to certain questions about policy. Monitoring and evaluation use fractural information to answer these questions but there is a slight difference in the approach. Monitoring asks if the policy produced the expected outcome, whereas, evaluation wants to know the value of the outcome. Monitoring in concerned with the facts while evaluation in concerned with the facts and valves (Dunn,2012) Both processes complement each other.You cannot have a proper evaluation without proper data collection because monitoring helps to produce information about the outcome of the policy.
